We spent six consecutive summers at Grange du Moulin while our boys were growing up, and it was consistently the perfect holiday environment. It offered the rare combination of genuine freedom for our children—who could swim, roam, and make friends safely—and total relaxation for us as parents. We were able to fully unwind, socialize, and enjoy the sun with wine and cheese, knowing the kids were in a safe, nurturing space.
It has been ten years since our last stay, and we recently returned with our boys as young adults. The magic remains exactly as we remembered; it was wonderful to reunite with the owners, Chris and Wendy, and catch up with other families with whom we have formed lifelong friendships.
If you are looking for a destination that allows your children to enjoy independence while you truly relax and connect with others, I cannot recommend Grange du Moulin highly enough.

Staying here on holidays right now! It is absolutely beautiful, just heaven!
We have a 2 year old and 4 year old and it's the most relaxed holiday I've had since becoming a parent, so perfect for small children. Lovely accomodation and facilities as well as fun activities on site for little people and adults too! I don't want to go home!!

Début août, pendant la canicule, mon mari, nos trois enfants (5, 9 et 11 ans) et moi avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce lieu. La piscine était un vrai plus pour nous rafraîchir. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’aspect convivial du lieu, grâce à la proximité des cottages tout en bénéficiant d’une certaine discrétion. En résumé, nous avons passé une excellente semaine. We had a great time at Grange du Moulin. Chris and Wendy are expert hosts, the cottages have everything you need and the location is a perfect base.
Within an hour, you can easily visit the beach at Royan, the historic city of La Rochelle, the Aquarium, the Zoo, historic towns and many French markets
.We especially enjoyed learning all about wine ina special tasting evening hosted by Chris. A great place for families to enjoy.
